The Cuvellerie House

The story

La Cuvellerie is a mansion of the late seventeenth century, presented on the first Napoleonic cadastral map of 1827. We must continue our research to back in time

Its name, printed on a postcard from the early 20th century, refers to the production of barrels, assuredly built with oak forests to store good wines! Make no mistake, hell Street won't take you to hell but to the Mine! Besides, do not hesitate to visit the mining museum at La Machine during your stay, it is very interesting.

We acquired this property in October 2001 when it was abandoned for over 40 years. His condition was scary to see but its thick structure and oak beams have stood the test of time and we have encouraged. Discover its restoration in our photo gallery ...

Présentation

La Cuvellerie stands on 2 hectares of land with prairie south side, a courtyard and a garden north side. The property also offers a field below the street, along a river, the stream of the fountain of Mignard. Dependence housed a dovecote and a stable for 4 horses.

La Cuvellerie offers guests two family suites and one double room. Breakfast is served in the lounge or in the garden depending on the season and wants.

Guests can also enjoy a shaded area with picnic table.We welcome dogs and cats as well as horses in the meadow
We offer bicycles for pleasant walks in the surrounding countryside.

It is not unusual to encounter deer! 

Situation

Nearby you can visit La Charite sur Loire, Cluny site and city of the old book or enjoy the vineyards of Pouilly sur Loire and Sancerre. The forest Bertranges, the Loire Natural Park are also places where nature comes into its own.
